This Profile uses participant responses to specific situations, real and hypothetical, on two scales: Degree of Structure, and Motivation or Drive, creating a four-quadrant grid to help describe the tendency to draw on one or more of the following styles:

- Conceptual
- Empathetic
- Organized
The EI Profile plots relative individual scores in all these quadrants, and provides detailed explanatory/interpretative notes.
